Celestial electronics and sonic lore. Soundscapes to invoke a dialogue between inner and outer worlds.

Nina Buchanan

Nina Buchanan is a musician and composer whose practice encompasses performing and releasing electronic music, sound installation, scores and sound design. Working predominantly with electronic sound and keyboard instruments, her music creates rich emotional landscapes, oscillating between the ecstatic and the melancholic.

Renowned for her powerful live performances, Nina channels the intensity and euphoria of dance music while shedding its usual linearity, a reflection of her own particular methodology of constructing sounds and arrangements.

Nina has released two EPs and an album, Restless Abandon (2021), with performances for Melbourne Music Week, The Substation, Asia Topa, Liquid Architecture and Carriageworks, and composition work featured at festivals nationally and internationally.

MINYERRA

MINYERRA  is an ever present buzz that emanates forth from the sacred biyala (redgum) and wala (waters) of Kaieltheban land. MINYERRA is sonic lore manifest, a meeting of country and analog synth textures. MINYERRA is a sound project of Yorta Yorta artist Neil Morris (aka DRMNGNOW) that is built around sound as an expression that sits in the ethereal spaces between woka (country) yenbena (ancestors) and mulana (spirit) of all living beings on Yorta Yorta woka expressed through sound collages centred in atmospheric textures  and pulsing rhythmic voicings.
