Maija Flood

Maija is a clarinettist from Melbourne, having completed her Bachelor of Music (Hons.) in 2025 at the Melbourne Conservatorium. Maija is incredibly passionate about chamber music, having attended multiple international chamber music festivals such as the Portillo International Music Festival and the Banff Chamber Music Residency with her wind quintet. Maija has spent 2026 travelling overseas for opportunities such as the Voksenåsen Summer Academies, and undertaking masterclasses with clarinettists such as Annelien Van Wauwe and Nicolas Baldeyrou. 

Joo Lee Kim

Joo Lee is a flautist from Sydney who earned her Bachelor of Music (Hons) and a Licentiate at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she was awarded a full entrance scholarship. Joo Lee then completed her Masters of Music in Orchestral Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium. Since returning to Australia, Joo Lee was selected as a member of the 2025 Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Academy, and has performed with numerous ensembles across Melbourne, including collaborations with the Australian String Quartet, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Aussie Pops Orchestra and Royal Melbourne Philharmonic.

Isabel Amoranto

Isabel is a passionate harpist whose music is rooted in the belief that sound has the power to console, unite, and transform. Whether performing solo, in chamber ensembles, or with orchestras, she seeks to bring sensitivity and intention to every performance. Isabel is captivated by the harp’s versatility and its rich, often overlooked, repertoire—constantly exploring ways to showcase the instrument in both classical and contemporary genres. Isabel is a graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium where she earned her Bachelor of Music (Hons). 

Sophia Jones 

Violinist Sophia Jones was born into a musical family in Brisbane and began learning the violin with her mother at the age of five. She was awarded her A.Mus.A and L.Mus.A with distinction in 2018 and 2020 respectively, before placing as a Recitalist in the 2021 John Curro National Youth Concerto Competition. Sophia placed fourth in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Young Instrumentalist Prize in 2022 and achieved second place in 2023. Her Piano Trio DMI-Trio won the Musica Viva Strike a Chord Competition String Prize in 2022 with a performance of Shostakovich’s Piano Trio in E minor. Sophia is currently in her third and final year of studies at ANAM where she has been studying with Adam Chalabi.

SHANNON RHODES

Shannon began his musical journey at age 4 with a toy violin made from a chocolate box, a ruler and a chop stick as a bow. Since then, he has found music (and chocolate) to be one of life’s joys and something he wants to continue to nurture and share with others. Shannon is excited to continue studies at ANAM in 2026, under the tutelage of Adam Chalabi. Born and raised in Perth, Shannon studied under Shaun Lee Chen. He is the winner of the VOSE Memorial Prize at the Conservatorium of Western Australia, University of Western Australia, and is the recipient of the Royal Overseas League scholarship where he performed and received masterclasses in the United Kingdom.
