One of CALEB SALIZZO’s earliest memories involves spending countless hours with his grandmother, listening to opera, and dedicating even more time at the piano in an attempt to play the melodies he heard. Finally fed up with the cacophony of dissonance, Caleb’s mother would urge him to take lessons, and ever since then his love and passion for music has only grown. Shortly after beginning lessons, Caleb made his debut as a soloist performing Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto and would then go on to study at the University of Queensland with Anna Grinberg, and later at the Australian National Academy of Music under Australian virtuoso, Timothy Young. Caleb has performed extensively in both solo and chamber settings all around Australia, and has won numerous prizes for his collaborations. He has also had the privilege of playing in masterclasses by acclaimed artists such as Sergio Tiempo, Max Olding, Konstantin Shamray and Piers Lane, and received mentorship from Dirk Mommertz, Martin Funda, and Angelika Merkle at the Internationale Sommerakademie für Kammermusik 2023.
